Job Overview

AI Cloud Engineer Austin TX We are seeking a talented and innovative AI Cloud Engineer to join an AI Technical Team in Austin, Texas.

The AI Cloud Engineer will design, build, deploy, and support AI cloud applications and cloud-native platforms on AWS. The role involves working across cloud infrastructure, application development, networking, security, automation, and performance optimization.

The successful candidate will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

AWS Cloud Engineering

• Design and build scalable, secure AWS cloud-native applications.
• Deploy and support AI-powered cloud applications.
• Work with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, networking, and performance issues.
• Monitor cloud environments and optimize application performance.

AI & Cloud Applications

• Integrate AI tools and techniques into application workflows.
• Support AI-enabled application development and deployment.
• Explore and implement emerging AI technologies where appropriate.
• Help develop secure and scalable AI cloud solutions.

Infrastructure & Automation

• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Docker and ECS/Fargate.
• Automate cloud infrastructure and application deployment processes.
• Support cloud security, monitoring, and observability.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work with cross-functional technical teams.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Share technical knowledge with team members.
• Mentor junior engineers when required.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of AWS Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong Docker and ECS/Fargate experience.
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of cloud networking and security.
• Experience with monitoring and observability.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with Generative AI.
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools.
• Azure or Google Cloud Platform experience.
• Kubernetes experience.
• Strong Git and CI/CD knowledge.
• Experience building or supporting AI-powered cloud applications.
