Job Overview
ERock is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT services, infrastructure, and end-user support.
The IT Manager will serve as a primary escalation point for complex company-wide IT issues while ensuring systems, technology processes, and support services remain secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
This role combines hands-on IT operations leadership with strategic oversight, with a strong focus on automation, operational efficiency, and improving the end-user experience.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Lead day-to-day IT operations across end-user support, systems, and infrastructure.
- Manage IT services across a multi-location environment.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Work with infrastructure, network, security, and business application teams.
- Maintain reliable enterprise IT systems and services.
Helpdesk & User Support
- Lead the IT helpdesk function.
- Manage ticketing workflows, service-level agreements, and knowledge bases.
- Improve helpdesk processes and service delivery.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Maintain clear communication with business stakeholders.
IT Asset & Access Management
- Oversee hardware, software, licenses, and subscription lifecycles.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Ensure secure provisioning and deprovisioning of user accounts and devices.
- Maintain visibility and control over IT assets.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate routine IT operations.
- Implement automation for user provisioning, device management, ticket routing, and support tasks.
- Use scripting, workflow automation, RMM, and MDM tools to improve efficiency.
- Reduce manual processes and improve service scalability.
Security & Business Continuity
- Support effective data backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Help maintain business continuity procedures.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support IT security, access control, and compliance requirements.
Team & Vendor Management
- Lead and develop IT support staff.
- Participate in hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Manage third-party technology vendors and service providers.
- Oversee licensing and technology contracts.
- Monitor vendor performance and service delivery.
IT Projects
- Plan and execute IT projects.
- Support system upgrades and software deployments.
- Implement workplace technology improvements.
- Manage project budgets and timelines.
- Ensure successful delivery of IT initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or end-user support.
- Experience progressing into IT leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities.
- Experience implementing or using IT automation.
- Experience with PowerShell, scripting, RMM/MDM tools, or workflow automation.
- Experience managing helpdesk or service desk functions.
- Experience with ticketing systems.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networks, servers, operating systems, and end-user technologies.
- Knowledge of IT service management principles.
- Experience with incident, problem, and change management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience managing technology vendors, service providers, and contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting distributed or field-based operations.
- Experience in energy, industrial, or asset-heavy environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and access control.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks.
- Experience implementing or improving ITSM platforms.
- Experience with Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience with endpoint management and mobile device management.
- Experience supporting compliance or audit requirements.
- ITIL, Microsoft, CompTIA, or similar certifications.
