Role Overview
The Cloud Operations Engineer will serve as the first point of contact for cloud incidents, operational events, and service requests. You’ll support enterprise GCP environments by monitoring infrastructure, resolving incidents, performing operational health checks, and maintaining cloud services in alignment with ITIL best practices.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor GCP infrastructure and respond to cloud alerts.

Perform L1/L1.5 incident triage, troubleshooting, and remediation.

Manage incidents, requests, and operational tasks using ServiceNow.

Support GCP services including Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, DNS, Storage, Load Balancing, VPN, and Cloud Logging.

Participate in major incident bridges and production support activities.

Execute runbook-driven operational procedures and health checks.

Support change management, risk assessments, and implementation validations.

Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base documentation.

Provide shift handovers and operational reporting.

Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.
