Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Information Security Engineer for a contract opportunity supporting the security of modern Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Large Language Model (LLM), RAG, and Agentic AI environments.

The ideal candidate will combine strong cybersecurity expertise with hands-on knowledge of emerging AI security risks and controls. This role will focus on protecting AI-powered applications, identifying threats, implementing security guardrails, and establishing secure AI architectures and governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for AI, GenAI, LLM, RAG, and AI-powered applications.
• Identify and mitigate AI-specific threats including prompt injection, jailbreaks, data leakage, and adversarial attacks.
• Develop and implement AI security guardrails to protect AI applications and users.
• Secure LLM, RAG, and Agentic AI architectures throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
• Implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, privacy, and access controls.
• Conduct AI threat modeling and security assessments.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Monitor AI workloads for suspicious activity, security risks, and anomalous behavior.
• Support AI security governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, developers, cloud architects, data teams, and security teams.
• Establish security requirements and best practices for AI application development.
• Review AI architectures and identify potential security weaknesses.
• Support incident investigation and remediation involving AI systems.
• Maintain security documentation, assessment reports, and control requirements.

AI & GenAI Security

The selected candidate should have hands-on experience securing modern AI environments.

• Design security controls and guardrails for AI applications.

• Implement controls around prompts, responses, tools, agents, and data sources.
• Support safe integration of LLMs with enterprise applications and data.
• Evaluate AI systems for security, privacy, and compliance risks.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection

Strong cybersecurity fundamentals are required, including experience with:

• DLP
• IAM
• Encryption
• Data security
• Privacy controls
• Access management
• Security monitoring
• Threat modeling
• Vulnerability assessment

The consultant should be able to apply traditional security principles to emerging AI technologies.

Cloud Security

Experience securing AI workloads in at least one major cloud platform is preferred:

• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

The candidate should understand cloud security architecture, identity management, network security, data protection, and secure deployment practices.

AI Threat Modeling & Risk Assessment

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting AI-specific threat modeling.
• Identifying attack surfaces across AI applications.
• Assessing risks associated with models, prompts, data, APIs, agents, and integrations.
• Developing security recommendations and mitigation strategies.
• Supporting AI security assessments before production deployment.
• Monitoring emerging AI security threats and vulnerabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Strong background in Information Security / Cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience securing AI, Generative AI, or LLM environments.
• Knowledge of AI-specific threats such as prompt injection and jailbreaks.
• Experience implementing AI security controls and guardrails.
• Strong knowledge of DLP, IAM, encryption, privacy, and data security.
• Cloud security experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of secure AI architecture and threat modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
