Job Overview

Dot NET Software Engineer Irving We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Software Engineer to join a technology team in Irving, Texas. This is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity requiring 3 days onsite per week.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, T-SQL, REST APIs, Entity Framework, JavaScript, and Azure Cloud. Experience developing enterprise applications and working in Agile/Scrum environments is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Develop scalable applications using .NET Framework 4.5+ and .NET Core.
• Design and implement robust REST APIs and backend services.
• Develop efficient database solutions using T-SQL.
• Work with Entity Framework for database access and application development.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly web applications using JavaScript and modern front-end technologies.
• Build and maintain cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and product teams.
• Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following established development standards.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure quality and security standards are followed.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work with source control and CI/CD processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to technical documentation and application design specifications.

Required Technical Skills

C# & .NET

• 10+ years of experience with C#, .NET Framework, and T-SQL.
• Strong experience with .NET Framework 4.5+.
• 5+ years of .NET Core experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Experience developing enterprise-scale applications.

APIs & Entity Framework

• Strong experience developing REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework.
• Experience designing scalable backend services.
• Understanding of API security, integration, and performance optimization.

Database

• Strong T-SQL experience.
• Ability to develop complex queries, stored procedures, and database solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting database performance and data-related issues.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts.

Front-End Development

Experience with:

• JavaScript
• HTML5
• CSS3
• TypeScript

Experience with Angular or React is preferred.

Azure Cloud

• Hands-on experience developing applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of cloud-native application development.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in cloud environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud-based application issues.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with experience integrating AI capabilities into .NET or Azure-based applications will have an advantage.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience with C#, .NET Framework, and T-SQL.
• 5+ years of experience with .NET Core, REST APIs, and Entity Framework.
• Strong Azure Cloud development experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and software engineering practices.
• Experience with software testing and debugging.
• Strong version control experience.
• Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred/required according to project requirements.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior-level .NET professional with extensive experience building enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, REST APIs, Entity Framework, T-SQL, and Azure.

Experience in mortgage origination systems is a plus. Candidates who also have exposure to Angular/React and emerging AI technologies such as RAG, LLMs, or Graph AI will be especially valuable.
