Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with 10–15+ years of experience in manual and automation testing to join a long-term enterprise project in Texas. This is an onsite W2 opportunity for a senior QA professional with strong expertise in test automation, API testing, database validation, performance testing, and end-to-end quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working across the SDLC/STLC, developing automation frameworks, testing enterprise applications and microservices, validating APIs and databases, and collaborating with development, product, DevOps, and business teams.

H1B candidates are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for enterprise applications.
• Lead end-to-end testing activities including functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks for web, API, and backend applications.
• Create automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.
• Perform API testing for RESTful services and microservices.
• Validate backend data and application functionality using complex SQL queries.
• Perform data validation across databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and third-party integrations.
• Execute performance, load, and scalability testing to identify application bottlenecks.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations to development and technical teams.
• Track, document, and manage defects through resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis for critical and recurring defects.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, DevOps, and Release teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, requirement reviews, and release validation.
• Review business and technical requirements and identify potential quality risks and testing gaps.
• Support continuous integration and automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers and promote automation and QA best practices.
• Prepare detailed test execution reports, defect reports, quality metrics, and release-readiness documentation.

Required Technical Skills

Test Automation

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Selenium WebDriver
• TestNG
• JUnit
• Cucumber
• BDD
• Automation framework development
• Data-driven testing
• Keyword-driven testing

The candidate should be capable of designing reusable, maintainable, and scalable automation frameworks.

API Testing

• Strong experience testing REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Postman, REST Assured, and SoapUI.
• Ability to validate API requests, responses, status codes, headers, authentication, and data.
• Experience integrating API automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Database & SQL Testing

• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience validating data across relational databases such as:
  • Oracle
  • SQL Server
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
• Ability to validate data integrity between applications, APIs, and databases.
• Experience troubleshooting data-related defects.

Performance Testing

• Experience with performance and load testing.
• Hands-on experience with JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and analyze application scalability.
• Experience testing high-volume enterprise applications.

Cloud & DevOps

Experience working with one or more major cloud platforms:

• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps tools, including:

• Jenkins
• GitHub
• GitLab
• Azure DevOps
• Maven
• Git

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application testing is highly desirable.

Test & Project Management Tools

Experience with:

• JIRA
• Azure DevOps
• Quality Center / ALM
• Test management platforms
• Defect tracking systems

QA Methodologies

Strong understanding of:

• SDLC

• Agile/Scrum

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in QA Engineering, Software Testing, or Automation Testing.
• Strong experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Extensive Selenium automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and BDD.
• Hands-on API testing experience with Postman, REST Assured, and/or SoapUI.
• Strong SQL and database testing experience.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Performance testing experience using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps environments.
• Cloud testing experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Texas.
• W2 employment required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior QA professional who can take ownership of the complete testing lifecycle, from requirements analysis and test planning through automation, execution, defect management, performance testing, and production release validation.

Strong experience across Selenium, API testing, SQL, automation frameworks, CI/CD, cloud, microservices, and performance testing will be highly valuable.
