About the Position
Snowflake Developer Remote The will be responsible for managing development within the Snowflake Data Cloud from end to end, designing data models, enabling secure data sharing, and building high-performance pipelines based on ELT principles. Working in close partnership with Data Architects, Analytics teams, Cloud Engineers, and relevant Business Stakeholders, the incumbent shall ensure the creation of dependable and efficient solutions for cloud-based data management that is scalable.
This position requires keen analytical acumen, solid problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with Snowflake; Cloud Computing in any of AWS/Azure/GCP; SQL Optimization; Data Engineering; as well as Automation Frameworks.
Duties And Responsibilities
Snowflake Development & Data Engineering
Design, develop, and tune scalable data warehousing solutions using Snowflake.
Implement virtual warehouses, micro-partitioning, resource monitors, roles, and policies as part of the features available within Snowflake.
Snowflake Developer Remote Develop ELT/ETL pipelines utilizing the functionalities of Snowflake, SQL Scripts, Stored Procedures, Tasks, and Streams. Maintain them too.
Design strong data ingestion architectures connecting Snowflake with BI instruments, apps, and outside cloud platforms.
2. SQL & Performance Tuning
Create advanced and powerful SQL for changing, grouping, and shaping data.
Carry out warehouse improvement by methods like grouping, storing temporarily, and adjusting based on expense involved.
Make sure queries run very fast, space is used well for saving information, and computing costs are kept low.
3. Cloud Joining & Automation
Connect Snowflake to cloud tools like AWS S3, Azure Blob, GCP Storage,
Automate with Airflow, dbt, ADF, Glue, Informatica. Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for deployment into Snowflake as well as versioning and metadata management.
Make and enhance dimensional models, Create/integrate Star/Snowflake Schema and Normalized Structures Work with architects to enforce scalability plus security for the data lake and warehouse implementations. Data Flow Documentation, Architecture Diagramming Technical Specs, and Ops Procedure Docs.
Implement secure access controls masking policies encryption and role based permissions.
Implement governance, auditing, and data quality frameworks. Participate in code reviews and also recommend and enforce Snowflake development standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Snowflake Developer Remote Five plus years of experience in cloud data engineering or BI development. Three plus years of hands-on experience specifically with Snowflake Data Cloud. Expertise level knowledge in SQL, Snowflake functions, optimization, data pipelines, UDFs, and stored procedures.
Experience integrating Snowflake with AWS/Azure/GCP ecosystems. Very good understanding of ETL/ELT design, data transformation, and automation frameworks.
Knowledge of dbt, Airflow, ADF, Glue, Informatica, or others is highly preferred. Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and DevOps-based deployments.
Ability to analyze large sets of data as well as problems being experienced and provide high-quality solutions in a timely manner. Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Python experience. Spark experience. Kafka experience or real-time streaming pipeline experience is a plus. Exposure to data governance, lineage, quality, and monitoring tools is a plus.
Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Qlik.
Snowflake SnowPro Certification is a plus.
Background working with major business or worldwide information frameworks.
