We are hiring a Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of experience for a 12+ months remote contract role with a high chance of extension.

⭐ About the Role Senior Java Developer will have the opportunity to design, develop and optimize enterprise applications on Core Java, spring boot with REST APIs and Microservices.
You will work with other departments, help with the workflows of integrations and have the chance to work on high-backend systems of your choice (industrial or energy management).
We prioritize candidates with expertise in GE Reliance or GE XA/21 or those with industrial controls and energy grid technology.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Maintain backend services on Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and, additionally, develop and enhance. Mission-critical business functions are guaranteed to have microservices in design and architecture.
RESTful APIs and high performance and reliability are guaranteed for their creation, as well as in the integration. Work with Hibernate/JPA for high-quality data persistence and ORM operations.
Create and enhance high-performance applications with complex workflows using multithreading. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify problems across the software development lifecycle.
Work with product owners and architects, and engineering teams in an Agile manner. Take part in code reviews, and testing phases, and contribute to CI/CD automation pipelines.
Must-have Skills.
5 or more years of professional experience in Java development. Strong in Core Java and OOP advanced techniques.
Experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC, and RESTful services.
Good understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Worked with Hibernate/JPA and relational databases. Demonstrated experience in developing high-performance, multithreaded Java applications.
Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS or Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a remote environment.
Preferred / Nice to Have Experience with GE Reliance, GE XA/21, or similar industrial control systems. Background in energy management systems, power grid technologies, and SCADA integration. Familiarity with Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes, Jenkins, and DevOps pipelines.
Knowledge of secure software development and enterprise-level integrations.
