Position Overview
Role: Power BI Developer
Location: 100% Remote (USA projects) Duration: Long Term Visa: H1B, H4 EAD(No GC) Up to $45/hr (C2C/W2 as applicable)

As a Remote Power BI Developer, the individual shall be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting end-to-end BI solutions through the use of Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. This position works with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to transform raw data into visually attractive insightful reports.
The daily responsibilities shall include:
– Visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards development using Power BI Desktop
Connects to several sources of data, brings in datasets, and transforms data for business intelligence.- Designs and develops tabular as well as multidimensional models by the standards of a data warehouse and BI standards.- Implements row-level security (RLS) with application security layer models in Power BI.- Writes and optimizes DAX queries on measures, calculated columns, and for advanced business logic.- Builds advanced calculations on complex datasets supporting business KPIs and decision making.
– Deployment and publication of dashboards and reports across dev, qa, and prod environments. Performing Power BI admin activities such as workspace management, access management, and performance tuning.
– Stakeholder collaboration for requirement elicitation, use case refinement, and translation of business needs into technical solutions.
Key Skills & Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have very deep hands-on exposure to the entire ecosystem of Power BI along with a very sharp analytical bent of mind.
Have worked as a Power BI Developer for live client assignments. Good knowledge about Power BI Desktop wherein dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards can be created. Strong experience regarding the connection of data sources, importing data, and transforming it to analyze it. Practical exposure in deployment plus publication of Power BI reports across different environments. Strong analytical mind plus ability to take data and turn it into meaningful visuals plus stories for business.
Has worked with the implementation of row-level security, possesses knowledge of Power BI security models. Has a strong command of DAX-Data Analysis Expressions for the development of complex measures and logic. Can build advanced calculations on huge data. Has experience creating tabular and multidimensional models following BI and data warehouse standards. Possesses good communication skills in discussing requirements clearly with business and technical teams.
Practical knowledge in managing Power BI, covering workspaces, gateways, permissions, and monitoring usage will be important.Remote Power BI developer roles done in the U.S. or any kind of support to U.S. clients in a BI capacity will play to your advantage.
