Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks using Java-based tools (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit)
- Execute automated and manual test cases to ensure product quality and performance
- Perform API testing and validation using tools like Postman, RestAssured
- Conduct UI testing for web applications across multiple browsers and devices
- Write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation and debugging
- Identify, document, and track defects throughout the defect lifecycle
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed reports
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, standards, and processes
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
Core Automation Skills:
- Strong experience in Automation Testing using Java
- Hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit
- Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber) is a plus
API & UI Testing:
- Strong experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured)
- Hands-on experience in UI testing for web applications
- Knowledge of cross-browser testing and responsive testing
Database & Debugging:
- Proficiency in SQL queries for data validation
- Experience in debugging issues using logs and backend data
- Understanding of database structures and data integrity validation
System & DevOps Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands for troubleshooting
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with containerized environments and automation pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter)
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
