At the Architect level, we have an urgent need for a very highly qualified Micro Strategy Admin who would Manage, Optimize, and Support Large Scale Enterprise Business Intelligence Environments.
This is also an on-site contract position that would be ideal for senior professionals having extensive experience in Administration of Micro Strategy, BI platform architecture, system performance tuning as well as automation and deployment at enterprise scale. The person should have expertise in different versions of Micro Strategy—10.x 11.x and 2021+, relevant knowledge about security frameworks in BI and practical experience in supporting multi-cluster environments with more than 1,000 users.
Expertise in MicroStrategy 10.x / 11.x / 2021+, Intelligence Server, Developer, Web, Mobile, Command Manager & Enterprise Manager, Multi-node clustering. High availability. Performance tuning.
Knowledge of the below databases is highly required: Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata.
Preferred: Snowflake. Must have above-average knowledge and experience with the following operating systems: Linux and Windows Server. Python. Shell scripting. PowerShell. Working knowledge of LDAP / Active Directory integrations; single sign-on (SSO) using SAML and OAuth; and web server integration with Apache, Tomcat, IIS. Splunk and AppDynamics experience also another BI/System Monitoring Platform experience.
* Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud deployment
* CI/CD pipelines Jenkins, Git, Control-M — Credentials
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
* 12+ yrs of exp. in IT with 8+ yrs specifically in MicroStrategy Admin.
* Hands-on expertise in managing enterprise BI platforms comprising 1000+ users
* Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills
* MicroStrategy certifications (MCE / MCSA) would be added advantage MicroStrategy Environment Management Install, configure, and maintain Intelligence Server, Web, Mobile, and Developer components. Upgrades, patching, migrations, and environment refreshes.
Lead capacity planning and performance monitoring. Security and User Management Implement authentication and authorization (LDAP, SSO, Kerberos).
Define user roles and privileges governance standards. Enforce compliance and access policies. Performance Optimization Optimize configurations for Intelligence Servers as well as database connections. Tuning of SQL, report, dashboard caching cubes.
* Run clustered setups to make sure things stay available
* Make scripts for putting stuff in, backing up, and keeping things running
* Hook MicroStrategy up with scheduling tools (Control-M)
* Build dashboards showing how the system is doing, and usage numbers <Collaboration>
* Work with BI devs, DBAs, cloud folks & infra teams
* Fix performance troubles and do root-cause hunts
* Document setup, configs
