Job Overview
We have an open position for an Application Programmer .NET professional in the technology division to join the team on a remote basis and work from anywhere in the country.
The position is open to everyone on any work visa. Candidates should have experience and be proficient in Microsoft .NET technologies, with basic knowledge in development, integration and maintenance of software applications.
Eligible Application Programmers will be assigned to design, develop, enhance and sustain enterprise applications for computing that perform critical business services.
Business analysts, project managers, QA and coworkers on the development team will work with you to ensure software is scalable, secure and performs with efficiency.
The position is a good fit for people who like remote collaboration and are interested in applications for solving business problems and working in all phases of application development.
Duties
Application Programmer .NET Builds and maintains applications using the MVC design pattern and the following technologies: C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Participates in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which encompasses requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
Creates and uses RESTful APIs and Web Services for system integrations. Produces quality, reusable code while using best practices and standards, and refactors code when necessary. Debugs, troubleshoots, and optimizes application performance.
Works with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and convert them into technical solutions. Writes complex queries, stored procedures, and functions in SQL Server and uses other relational databases.
Helps modernize applications by performing application upgrades and enhancements. Reviews code to mitigate and resolve quality, security, and maintainability concerns.
Provides application support after deployments and assists to resolve post-release issues.
Creates and maintains documentation for technical specifications, application workflows, and system changes. Verifies applications meet the required security, compliance, and data protection standards. Identifies areas for improvement and applies appropriate new technologies.

Application Programmer .NET Expect a Bachelor’s Degree within the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field and/or equivalent practical experience. Expect at least 3 years of professional experience to have been an
Application Programmer or .NET Developer
Must possess no less than 3 years of hand-on experience with: C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework / .NET Core
Web Development using MVC, Web API, other OOP concepts
* Development of front end webpage using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, UI Frameworks * Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, database views, and general performance tuning
* Working experience with version control systems such as Git and/or TFS Agile/Scrum experience
* Strong analytical and problem–solving skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently in a remote setting and deliver on set due dates
Nice to have
* Development experience on .NET 6 / .NET 7 / .NET 8
* Proficiency in using Azure or AWS cloud services
* Development experience on microservices
* Knowledge on the implementation of CI/CD pipelines
* Development experience on unit testing frameworks such as: NUnit, MSTest, or xUnit
* Knowledge on using containerization tools such as Docker
* Support experience on enterprise or government applications
* Knowledge on general security best practices and the various methods of authentication/authorization
