We are seeking a Junior Pega Developer Arizona with Hands on experience to API security to support secure development, integration, and protection of pega based enterprise applications, Junior Pega Developer Arizona This role combines pega developer fundamentals API integration, and cloud security practices to help ensure that business workflows and connected systems remain secure, scalable, and compliant with internal security standards Junior Pega Developer Arizona
This position is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to grow into specialized role at the intersection of development and cybersecurity, will collaborate with platform engineers, applications developers, and security specialist to design secure integration patterns, support audits, troubleshoot security expectations, and continuously improve security posture across pega environment
Key Responsibilities
- Design and apply applications and API level security mechanisms that protect pega application from authentications failures, injection attacks, misconfigurations, and unauthorized access
- Secure API integrations, Work on integration pega applications with internal and external systems through secure REST, and SOAP APIS, ensuring encryption, token based authentication, and secure transmission practices
- Monitoring and Incident Response participate in security event monitoring, log review, and alert triage, support initial investigation steps and coordination responses with relevant teams when abnormalities or vulnerabilities are detected
- Automation and Incident Responses participate in security event monitoring, low review, and alert triage, support initial investigation
- Risk Assessment and Reviews, contribute to threat modeling, vulnerability reviews, and risk assessment for new integrations or platforms enhancements
- Cross Team collaboration work closely with developers, platforms engineers, and business teams, offering security guidance, best practice, and implementation support throughout the development lifecycle
- Continuous Improvement stay updated on evolving cloud API, and application security trends, helping the organization anticipate risks and improve readiness
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, information security, Engineering or Related technical field
- Professional experience At least 2+ years of experience in cloud security, cloud engineering, Devsecops, or Application security supporting enterprise environment
Technical Competencies
- Understanding of pega platform concepts and developments Workflow
- Exposure to API security concepts such as OAuth, SAML, JWT, TLS
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and cloud security frameworks
- Ability to script security automations using Python / Ansible
