About role:
In this role, you’ll work closely with engineering and platforms teams to make sure our applications are stable, secure, and performing well, you’ll support Linux – based systems, Kubernetes/ open shift environment, CI /CD pipelines, and monitoring tools, while contently looking for ways to automate tasks and improve reliability
If you like solving problems at the platforms level, building tools, creating observability, and making systems run smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll be the great fit here
This isn’t a traditional operations fire – fighting job, its a role focused on preventing issues they happen
What you’ll Be doing
- Supporting and maintaining key applications and middleware platforms
- Improving Reliability, availability, and performance across systems
- working hands on with Linux for configuration and troubleshooting
- Managing and supporting Kubernetes and or OpenShift environments
- Writing python or shell scripts to automate manual work
- Supporting and improving CI/CD workflows and pipelines
- Setting up and enhancing monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Investigating root causes when issues occur and preventing repeat incidents
- partnering with engineering and DevOps teams on deployment and improvement
- And adjust to emphasize this is not a 24/7 on call production support role
Must have skills
- We’re looking for someone who brings most of the followings
- 7+ years of experience in SRE, Application support, or platform engineering
- Strong experience working with LINUX / RHEL 8 or 9
- Hands on experience with Kubernetes or Open shift
- Solid scripting skills in python and or shell
- Experience working in CI CD environments
- Good understanding of monitoring and observabilities tools
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience working with distributed systems or middleware platforms
Nice to Have Experience
- These are’nt Required, but they’re great
- Kafka or other messaging systems
- Redis or other caching platforms
- Airflow or workflow orchestration tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms
- Experience in financial services or banking environments
