We need a Full stack Developer Remote Contract with Cognizant / Voya to work on large enterprise applications for Cognizant / Voya Financial, a top player in financial technology and digital change. This is a hands-on technical position best suited to developers who can work at more than one tier of the solution, taking ownership for features from initial architecture conversations right the way through to deployment and support thereafter.
What You’ll Be Working On
You will be responsible for the architecture, development, and maintenance of contemporary web applications supporting significant business operations. Your daily duties will include:
Development and Maintenance of Server Side Logic in Node.js with the use of Modern Frameworks like Express.js or NestJS
Design, Development, and Consumption of RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
Microservices Creation and Backend Integrations Building and Enhancing
Java Spring Boot Collaboration for Secure, Scalable Enterprise Services
Collaboration with React.js developers to connect the APIs with attractive front-end interfaces.
Application integration with third party APIs and services.
System optimization in terms of performance, scalability, and reliability.
Write code that is clean, readable, and maintainable according to best practices and coding standards. Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and design sessions. Troubleshoot and debug issues from UI to backend services across the entire stack. Support CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows.
This job is not about writing code only — it’s about building up sturdy digital solutions supporting financial operations used by thousands of customers plus internal stakeholders.
Technical Skills
You must be very good at using Node.js; Know how to use Java Spring Boot for backend work;
Be great at UI development with React.js Understand API design, REST and Graph Q
Have learned about microservices architecture
Worked together with cloud places, DevOps engineers and product teams; Able to debug, troubleshoot and solve problems well.
Knowledge of any Express.js or NestJS
JUnit or Jest, CI/CD tools, Docker, or Kubernetes shall be added advantage.
Ideal Background & Professional Qualities
– 5+ years experience in full stack development.
– Ability to work alone as well as part of a dynamic team.
– Knowledge of standards and best practices in enterprise development.
– Code that is clean and easy to maintain with proper documentation.
– Ability to clearly explain technical matters.
– New technologies and tools
Background in financial services, consulting, SaaS, or enterprise product environments is considered a plus, but not mandatory.
