Key Responsibilities
As an Azure Data Engineer, you will:
Azure Data Engineer Design, develop, and support native to the cloud data engineering solutions on the Azure platform. Build and tune ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics, reporting, and enterprise data applications. Use Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, EventHub, Blob Storage, Power Apps, and Power BI. Do SQL analysis and Python/Spark analysis for business decision-making. Contribute to DevOps workflow setup and continuous integration/continuous delivery automation with GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, and Azure Data Engineer
– Assist data governance, privacy, and metadata management efforts.
– Support best practices for data quality, availability, and security.
– Work in agile teams to deliver scalable solutions under a product-based model.
– Analyze issues regarding data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
– Collaborate with stakeholders from business, analytics, and IT areas on matters relating to data integrity and reliability.
Minimum Qualifications
Azure Data Engineer To be considered you should meet the following requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Information Systems or Technology or related experience.
– Three years plus in software solution development within agile, DevOps, or product-based environments.2. Three years plus experience in data analytics using SQL.
– Two years plus of cloud data engineering experience preferably in Microsoft Azure that includes but is not limited to:
– Azure EventHub
– Azure Data Factory
– Azure Databricks
– Azure Blob Storage
– Azure Data Lake
– Azure Power Apps
– Power BI
Hands-On Experience With:
– Python, Spark, Unix, SQL Scripting & Programming Azure Data Engineer
– Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS-Snowflake-Azure Data Explorer (exp. a plus on admin)
– Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and Blob Storage of the Power Apps inside Azure Cloud Services.
– CI/CD & DevOps using Jenkins GitHub and Terraform with Azure DevOps
– Cognos Tableau BI Power BI Alteryx Denodo Grafana for BI Analytics
– Informatica Axon Informatica EDC BigID tools for governance.
Orchestration: Azure Data Factory, Tivoli. A clear understanding of data warehousing concepts is required.
Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following will give you an edge:
Experience designing and implementing large-scale cloud data platforms.
Strong background in Azure native data services.
Experience with: Azure Functions, Azure Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics (ASA), Azure Data Explorer (ADX).
Azure Certification (Data or Development Track) and Spark Certification.
Skills & Competencies Azure Data Engineer
