9to9 Software Solutions wants a driven and careful Java Web Application Developer to be part of its growing tech team. Working under general supervision, the Java Web Application Developer shall be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software components related to web applications.
The incumbent will work in close liaison with technical architects, graphic designers, and other development team members to provide scalable secure high-performance web solutions meeting clients’ requirements as well as production needs.
Design, develop, test, and maintain the components of a web application in Java, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and XML.
Work with graphic designers as well as other members of the project team to define site concepts and interface designs; thus overall application architecture.
Implement user interfaces that are easy to use and responsive to usability and navigation best practices.
Integrate web applications with backend databases as well as enterprise systems.
Implementation and support for large, web-based transactional systems on enterprise application servers. Research, evaluation, testing, and integration based on production and client requirements of new tools, technologies, and products. Diagnosis and bug-fixing applications in development, test, and production environments.
Continuous improvement support through the identification of opportunities to improve performance and security as well as maintainability of the application. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with competing priorities.
A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related discipline.
Great problem-solving abilities with an innovative, analytical approach and dynamic disposition towards work. Capable of breaking down high-level functional and technical requirements into specific development tasks. Good team player͏͏͏͏͏͏ who can work under pressure.
Capable of handling several functions and timelines at once.
Has a SECRET security clearance or can get one (must have at least an interim SECRET clearance to start).
CompTIA Security+ certified (needed).
Ready to get a matching computing setting certification (like Oracle Certified Associate) in the first 90 days of the job.
Part of the CompTIA Continuing Education (CE) program.
Profiles shall be enhanced by the following preferred qualifications:
Over 0 years developing Java Web apps͏ (school or side work counts).
Kn͏owledg͏e of Java patt͏e͏rns, includ͏ing MVC, DAO, Singleton, Factory, and architectural relat͏ed concepts.
Experience in supporting Java Virtual Machines(JVMs) running on Unix , Linux or Windows Environments.
Hands-on-experience using frameworks including Spring MVC, Hibernate , JasperReports.
Know Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) with SOAP/WSDL and RESTful web services.
Have used Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or NetBeans for coding.
Have seen shell scripting and log file reading with REGEXP.
Know about Oracle, SQL Server, or any other RDBMS systems.
Understand software making steps like SDLC, Agile, or Scrum.
Work with JEE/JSP containers like WebLogic, JBoss, or Apache Tomcat. Use version control tools such as Subversion (SVN). Can estimate development tasks by looking at technical complexity, level of effort, and technical debt.
Education
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
