Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer – Remote (Healthcare | MSBI | Azure | Big Data) We are actively seeking a highly skilled Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to join our dynamic and rapidly growing data team.

This Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (Remote) 100% remote opportunity is ideal for a seasoned BI professional who brings strong expertise in MSBI, MS SQL, Healthcare domain standards, Big Data technologies, and the Azure Data Platform.

Responsibilities As a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer

you will be key in building, designing, and implementing BI solutions that will inform and drive decision making within the business.

Responsibilities will include working with various team members across the company including our Stakeholders, Data Architects, Analysts, and Engineering teams to maintain the scalability, accuracy, and optimal functioning of our data systems.

We will need someone who has a lot of working experience with the MSBI tools, has a good understanding of the data within the healthcare systems, and has the ability to work with a variety of complex data sets, both in the cloud and on-prem.

Key Responsibilities

Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (Remote) The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of end-to-end BI engineering tasks, including but not limited

**Business Intelligence** **Solution Design & Development** Design and develop highly effective BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations utilizing MSBI and Azure tools.

Turn business questions into data models, cubes, datasets, and reports that support transparency and accountability in organizational performance.

Exercise to ensure that all BI solutions are aligned with best practices in data architecture, modeling, and performance enhancement. **Data Integration & ETL Development** Design, optimize, and maintain complex ETL pipelines processes with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or other ETL tools.

Work with structured and semi-structured data from several internal and external sources while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and usability.

Identify data quality issues and provide automation to improve the data reliability. **Database Design & SQL Development**

Use your 5+ years MS SQL Server Development and ETL experience to write and optimize stored procedures, functions, and triggers and debug complex SQL. Collaborate with DBAs and data modeling teams to design the optimized architecture of the data ecosystem which is both scalable to your needs and secure.

Perform data profiling, performance tuning and plan capacity for the data to ensure the size of the data is optimized. **Big Data & Cloud Technologies** Utilize Azure Data Platform components such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Data Lake Storage, and Azure Analysis Services.

Utilize Big Data environments and large-scale datasets to carry out predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and reporting frameworks in the healthcare sector. Advise and carry out strategies for modernization of Business Intelligence to the cloud.

5. Healthcare Data Expertise.

Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (Remote) Demonstrate solid domain understanding of healthcare sector parameters, particularly claims, eligibility and providers datasets, clinical data, HIPAA, and other requirements for regulatory reporting. Collaborate with SMEs to ensure BI results meet healthcare quality measures and data governance requirements.

Required Qualifications. Minimum candidate requirements to qualify for this position include the following.

Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (Remote) 8+ years working Business Intelligence, enterprise analytics, and data warehousing.

6+ years working with a BI/reporting tool, and MSBI in particular, including SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.

6+ years working in and with the Healthcare industry.

5+ years working with MS SQL Server, including complicated SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Thorough and working knowledge of the Azure Data Platform, Big Data, and cloud-based data processing environments is essential.

Must be comfortable working remotely and independently, with people in a variety of roles, technical and non-technical.

Preferred Skills Additional skills would be Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other current data visualization tools.

Experience using Python, Databricks notebooks, or Spark for advanced analytics. Exposure to Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, or data automation.
