Backend design & Development
Senior Java Backend Lead (Remote) Take charge of designing and developing highly scalable backend systems using Java 8+ and Spring Boot from front to back. Architect, implement, and tune microservices-based solutions for availability, performance, and security build RESTful APIs with clean interfaces—a reusable code well documented. Be hands-on in the development while leading the team to best practice implementation in code quality, and performance tuning maintainability.
2. Technical Leadership
Guide and technically lead a group of backend developers through code review and architectural review plus a knowledge-sharing session. Set up development standards, enforce coding guidelines, and make sure that everything is in line with the architectural roadmap of the organization. Work very closely with frontend engineers, DevOps, QA, architects, and product owners. Review designs and solutions proposed by team members to ensure consistency and scalability while meeting enterprise standards.

Design and implementation of back-end services either on Azure or GCP platforms by using in-built cloud services for computation, storage, network, and security.
Work collaboration with DevOps team members for deployment automation through CI/CD pipelines.

Cloud Engineering & Deployment
Design backend services either on Azure or GCP. Leverage native cloud for compute, storage, networking, and security.Work together with DevOps to automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines.Applications must embrace by design some of the key aspects of the cloud native best practices-including containerization automation as well as scalability strategies.
Work together with SQL and NoSQL databases to design, query, and optimize the layers for data persistence. Build strong data models that fit into microservices architecture and support applications running at high speed. Find and fix database performance problems as well as help DBAs make queries, schemas, and indexes better.
Carry out superior troubleshooting between layers of the application, encompassing API calls and microservices communication as well as any other cloud-based components.
Ensure that backend services support enterprise-grade observability logging, metrics, dashboards, and alerting.

Major Technical Expertise (Must-Have)
10+ years progressive experience in backend engineering with a solid foundation in distributed systems.
• Java 8+ proficiency covering functional programming, concurrency, and JVM tuning at an expert level.
• Deep hands-on skills with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, dependency injection, and modular code design.
• Microservices architecture design and development experience covering inter-service communication patterns.
• REST API build and consumption experience using standard authentication and security models.
Has practical experience deploying and maintaining workloads on at least one cloud provider
Microsoft Azure or strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
strong>DevOps & Build Ecosystem
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with
CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
Git for version control
Maven or Gradle for build and dependency management
Experience with Docker (and Kubernetes (preferred) for containerized deployments.
* Relational Databases (SQL)—MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and others.
* NoSQL Databases—MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, and others.
* Can design schema models and write optimized queries understand indexing and partitioning strategies.
Soft Skills
* Has led development teams on complex technical projects.
* Communicates well with engineering teams stakeholders and leadership.
* Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving strength.

Cloud cost optimization and monitoring tools.
