We are seeking an Epic Clarity Consultant highly qualified and specifically knowledgeable of the Clarity Clinical Data Model to support a major healthcare enterprise data initiative. The need is extremely urgent for professionals who have experience with Epic clinical data structures, who can build ETL processes, and have supported reporting and analytics environments of this scale, which implies support at all stages in the ETL life cycle from Epic Clarity into enterprise data platforms. Working very closely with technical leadership, clinical resources, analysts, and operations staff, this individual will help ensure accurate, reliable, correctly structured data that will support reporting, analytics, and related decision-making strategies. Best fitting would be one who has advanced SQL knowledge, strong data modeling skills, and can translate complex clinical workflows into actionable data logic. ETL Pipeline Design, Development, and Optimization
This position will have primary responsibility for leading efforts toward the development of robust ETL workflows designed to extract clinical data from Epic Clarity. Work includes developing scalable, efficient optimized processes supporting downstream reporting and analytics systems. Strong expertise in SQL, ETL tools and stored procedures is a requirement for success in this role.
Clinical and Reporting Needs Translation into Data Models
In cooperation with clinical stakeholders and the reporting team, the consultant will interpret requirements analysis into logical and physical data models by understanding Epic workflows, identifying key data structures, and creating clear mapping of the data which will ensure accuracy as well as integrity of reports.
This role involves day-to-day chatting with tech folks, data pros, BI creators, and operations heads. The consultant will check on data needs, make sure everything lines up across datasets, and help out with tough Epic Clarity tables and links. Good talking skills are key to fill the space between techies and health workers.
Paperwork and Data Mapping
It involves documenting transformation logic, data mapping specifications, workflow diagrams, and process notes. Only complete and accurate documentation can ensure knowledge transfer, sustainability, and operational readiness of the teams who heavily depend on these datasets.
Troubleshooting and Data Quality Assurance
The consultant will spot, figure out, and fix data integrity problems in the ETL process. This covers checking extracted data, testing changes, and making sure everything matches clinical workflows. Keeping the highest level of data quality is a key part of this job.
This role will also be responsible for support and mentorship to the reporting teams, analysts, and application teams by continuously explaining table structures, best practices, flow interpretation under clinical workflows, and optimization of reportability on Epic data.
Engagement Details
It is a 6 months contract with extension possibilities based on the project success as well as organizational needs.
This position is remote. There may be 1–2 onsite presences required for critical meetings, planning sessions, or stakeholder workshops.

Qualification
– Must have Epic Clarity Certification—preferably with a Clinical focus.
– Must possess knowledge of the Epic Clarity Clinical Data Model, key tables, relationships, and workflows.
– Practical exposure to developing data integration solutions through the use of SQL, stored procedures, or enterprise ETL tools.
– Solid skills in SQL development covering query optimization and performance tuning as well as complex data transformations.
– Background in data modeling comprising conceptual, logical, and physical models applied within analytics environments.
– Capacity to construe actual clinical workflows and convert them into precise data logic that underpins reporting.
Has previously worked in large-scale enterprise healthcare environments preferably with Epic operational and reporting systems.
Preferred Qualifications
͏͏͏Epic Bridges Certification or direct experience working with Bridges interfaces and data exchange workflows. ͏Experience working with FHIR, APIs, or related healthcare integration technologies. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and modern analytics platforms.
Has supported BI tools and reporting solutions like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Epic’s native reporting tools.
